Thanks to a fantastic partnership with Comacchio Experience, a start-up headquartered in Lido di Pomposa, founded specifically for the ethical and responsible promotion of the Po Delta Park, providing outdoor experiences designed to champion inclusivity and disability awareness. An initiative that includes a weekly calendar of guided tours to allow you not only to discover the surrounding area, but also to enjoy one of the most precious and fascinating nature areas in Italy, at close quarters.

A different adventure for every day of the week

From Monday to Sunday, Comacchio Experience can offer you a calendar of events with something for everyone. Monday you can start the week with an Excursion & Energy Wake-up at the Vene di Bellocchio Nature Reserve, a hiking circuit for about 2.5 hours in the company of a nature guide. Enjoy the pine woods and trails in the Nature Reserve, plus an energy wake-up to boost mind and body from the early hours of the morning.

If you are travelling with your dog, Tuesday’s 6 Paws in Nature is the experience for you.  A two-hour walk in the Vene di Bellocchio Reserve, accompanied by a qualified dog trainer, exploring local flowers and wildlife together with your faithful four-legged pal. If you would rather go about by bike, then you can explore the charm of the Valli di Comacchio: Cycle ride with flamingoes, lagoon and salt pans, an excursion that takes in nature and history, touching the canals of Comacchio, the Valleys around the town, and the natural habitat for pink flamingoes.

 Wednesday is the day of the Fiat Campagnola 4×4 Tour: a visit to the centre of Comacchio on board a traditional Italian off-road vehicle - with a stop at the street market - before proceeding through the lagoon scenery of the Valli di Comacchio to enjoy an incredible experience of birdwatching and nature.

Thursday, and then again on Saturday and Sunday, you can take a boat to Discover the Valli di Comacchio. This boating experience sets out from the traditional fishing fleet in Porto Garibaldi and continues to the Valle Fattibello, where you can discover local traditions and the history of fishing. On this trip, staff will provide you with binoculars to watch the local wildlife, including a splendid colony of pink flamingoes. Also on Thursday, you can enjoy a cycle trip along one of Italy's must stunning cycle paths, the Argine degli Angeli, a unique road in Italy, ‘suspended’ in the middle of the lagoon. Dunes, pine woods and breathtaking views will accompany your discovery of the Bellocchio wetlands, an iconic location in the Valli di Comacchio, where untamed beaches meet coastal pine forests.

Friday's outing is Wednesday’s off-road vehicle tour with added tasting in a Sabbia di Bosco Eliceo winery, for a Fiat Campagnola 4×4 Experience: Nature, Heritage & Wine Tasting. Birdwatching in the lagoon, together with a tasting experience of some of the most authentic flavours in the Ferrara area.
