An excursion through landscapes created by land and water. In the Pialassa Biona lagoon, you can encounter large flocks of flamingoes. Don’t miss this spectacular sight, which you can observe from the watch towers placed around the salt water basins. Arrival and departure: Marina Family Village

Known as the home of the eel, Comacchio is a destination that offers a range of delights going far beyond food and wine. The Trepponti bridge, which is truly one of a kind, is located near the Museum of the Ancient Delta, another gem of history and culture that tells us about the mysterious roots of the Po Delta. The Valle del Chienti (the Chienti is the river that emerges close to the Village) was an important route linking the Tyrrhenian and the Adriatic seas, and at its end, we find abbeys and monasteries that still sit harmoniously in their mediaeval landscape settings. Travelling back along the Marecchia River and the valley of the same name, the peaceful cycle track takes you up to the Apennine crests. A mini tour through the historic centre offers a preview of a route that winds its way over the hills, with views of the sea, and some brief sections requiring a burst of energy. Starting from the long beach of Riccione, this itinerary will take you inland, where you can discover the little villages of Romagna, like San Clemente, then on to the River Conca nature reserve, where you can admire the flora but also the wealth of local bird life.
