Milano Cortina 2026: enjoy the Winter Olympics in the heart of the Dolomites! 

From 6 to 22 February 2026, Italy will be hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics. The date marks the return of the Games to Italy after the Winter Olympics in Cortina in 1956 and Turin in 2006. Milano Cortina 2026 represents an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind event, since it is taking place across three regions in Northern Italy: Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino-South Tyrol. The Olympic venues are strategically placed in the heart of the Dolomites, offering a natural setting of incomparable beauty.

The Val di Fiemme, in Trentino-Alto Adige, is certainly one of the most stunning locations of these Olympics. The valley, set in the Dolomites, will be hosting the nordic skiing competition at two resorts of peak excellence: the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium for ski jumping and the nordic combined events, and the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium for cross-country skiing. Both facilities can boast lengthy traditions in the organisation of internationally important sporting events: Predazzo has hosted three Nordic World Ski Championships, countless stages of the World Cup, and the spectacular final of the Tour de Ski, while Tesero has been a reference point for international nordic skiing since 1991, thanks to the expertise and high degree of specialisation shown by the professional staff over the years.

2026 Olympics Programme for Val di Fiemme

The Competition Programme for the Olympics in the Val di Fiemme is being held in both Predazzo and Tesero, with different events scheduled between 7 and 22 February 2026. Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium will be hosting the ski jumping and nordic combined competitions from 7 to 16 February. In parallel, the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium will be welcoming competitors for cross-country skiing and nordic combined events from 7 to 22 February.

The competition programme runs throughout the Games, offering spectators the possibility to experience the Olympic atmosphere throughout the period of their stay in the valley. As well as the Olympic events in February, the Val di Fiemme will also be hosting events during the Paralympics from 6 to 15 March 2026, extending the opportunity to enjoy sporting events of the highest level in this magnificent Dolomite setting.

Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium is one of the most prestigious homes of cross-country skiing at international level. This sport involves moving along specific routes, using the classic or free style on narrow skis, often with poles, and it is by far and away the purest form of nordic skiing.
